If Courtesy Roof Check doesn’t sell roofing, how do you make money?
Courtesy Roof Check is paid only if work actually needs to be done and the homeowner chooses to move forward. When that happens, I may receive a referral or consulting fee from the contractor. If your roof doesn’t need work, I don’t get paid—and I’m perfectly fine with that. My incentive is accuracy, not selling.
Are your inspections truly independent and unbiased?
Yes. My inspection conclusions are not influenced by whether work proceeds. I document what’s actually happening on the roof—good or bad—and I regularly tell homeowners not to replace or repair when it isn’t warranted. My reputation depends on being right, not dramatic.
Why do you recommend one specific contractor to proceed with the work?
Because I’ve vetted them exhaustively. I work with one construction company by design, not many. That allows full accountability, consistent quality, clean communication, and zero finger-pointing. I know exactly how they operate, how they price, how they treat homeowners, and how they handle insurance claims.
Am I required to use your preferred contractor after an inspection?
Absolutely not. You’re free to use any contractor you want—or none at all. My job is to give you clear, honest information. What you do with that information is entirely your decision.
How do you ensure the contractor you recommend is honest and accountable?
I stay involved. I review scope, documentation, and outcomes—and I don’t hesitate to step in if something isn’t right. If the contractor ever compromises quality or integrity, the relationship ends. My name is on the line, and I protect it aggressively.
